Packing for the Knik Bench Overlook

The Knik Bench Overlook is a half-day if the wind stays in the inlet and a full day if it does not. Pack as if it will not. That means the usual layers, the spare layers, and three extra coils of rope even though the bench is a walk. Rope is how you remember you meant to come back.

Also: a notebook that will still take pencil at twenty degrees, a second pair of gloves you will not like, and the reservation for Willow Notch in case the bench is closed by a feeling. Check availability. Pack the rope either way.
